Short answer
Every visit gets a service summary, and the customer receives a copy. It records the mattress inspection (ticking, construction, edge support, settling by zone, stains and odors, preliminary and finishing bed mite scores, special care materials, mattress protector), the sanitation performed (steam temperature verified above 212°F at the expression point, glide rate, UV-C HEPA vacuuming) and technician confirmation. It's a service record, not a lab report.
Key terms used on this page
- Service summary (inspection form):
- Sleep Sanitation's per-visit service record, called the service summary: mattress inspection, sanitation performed (212°F verification, glide rate) and technician confirmation. The customer gets a copy.
- Bed mite sensor:
- The built-in sensor on our JIGOO UV-C mattress vacuum that gives the preliminary and finishing bed mite scores. A guide, not a lab test.
Care teams document everything. A mattress visit should leave a simple record too.
General information for home care and hospice teams, not medical, legal or infection-control advice. Follow your agency's policies.
What we record
Our form is called the service summary. It has three sections:
- Mattress inspection: ticking composition, construction, edge support, settling by zone (head, foot, left and right upper and lower), observed stains and odors with notes, a preliminary and finishing bed mite score from the bed mite sensor on our JIGOO UV-C mattress vacuum, special care materials, and whether a mattress protector is present and what type.
- Sanitation service performed: dry vapor steam sanitation with temperature verified above 212°F at the expression point, the continuous glide rate used (2–3 or 4–5 inches per second, adjusted for material and condition), and UV-C HEPA vacuuming with bed mite and debris extraction, plus service notes and exceptions.
- Technician confirmation: signature and time completed.
The customer receives a copy. A blank sample is on our how it works page. Every visit also ends with a moisture check before we leave.
What it isn't
The service summary is a service record, not a lab report. We don't do lab or swab testing. The only other test we offer is an optional, quote-priced 72-hour bedroom CO2 test.
Sharing it
With the client's or family's permission, we can send a copy of the service summary to the agency. The customer always receives one.
Sleep Sanitation's view
This section is our view. Agencies that group visits with us for route efficiency can ask about agency rates. We carry a certificate of insurance, available on request, and run background checks under our hiring policy, including a national sex offender registry check. Sleep Sanitation serves Omaha, Lincoln and surrounding towns. Every visit includes dry vapor steam, HEPA vacuuming, UV-C light treatment, the built-in bed mite sensor on our JIGOO UV-C mattress vacuum and a moisture check before we leave. Enzyme treatment is used on urine and other biological jobs, and ordinary accident treatment is included in the $249 first-mattress price. Severe or biohazard contamination carries a surcharge, and we tell you before any work starts. Call or text (402) 512-5658, or email info@sleepsanitation.com.
