About

Who is Sleep Sanitation?

Sleep Sanitation is a Nebraska mattress-only company founded by Matthew Brunken. We clean and sanitize mattresses in your home across the Omaha and Lincoln metros with low-moisture Italian Vapor Clean dry vapor steam, HEPA vacuuming and UV-C light treatment. Every job starts with a written inspection, follows the same five steps and uses one published price list: $249 for the first mattress in any size.

Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm. Missed a call? We return calls and texts on Saturday and Sunday too.

Why only mattresses?

A mattress is thick, layered and slow to dry, so it needs a different approach from a floor. Wet extraction or hot-water carpet cleaning can void mattress warranties, and some makers advise against steam. Sleep Sanitation was started to treat the mattress as its own job: a low-moisture method, a consistent protocol, careful handling in the home, and pricing published up front.

For the difference between cleaning, sanitation and disinfection, see mattress cleaning vs mattress sanitation.

What goes on the inspection form?

Every job is documented on an inspection form: the mattress materials, special care notes and any urine or odor observations.

  1. 1Read the law tagSize, materials and construction, from the tag sewn into the mattress.
  2. 2Record the materialsFoam, latex, coils, natural fill or a mix, plus the cover fabric.
  3. 3Note special careAnything the maker's care guidance or the tag asks for, and where a maker advises against steam, we tell you before we start.
  4. 4Note urine and odorAny urine, odor or stains we see, and where they are.
  5. 5Choose the settingsThen we set the steam output and pass speed for those materials.

How do we keep the work hygienic?

  • Technicians wear gloves on every job.
  • Technicians wear shoe booties in your home.
  • Equipment is disinfected between jobs.

What do we promise, and what don't we?

  • Mattress-first methods

Dry vapor steam, HEPA vacuuming and UV-C light treatment instead of hot-water extraction.

  • Two checks in every visit, and only two

A moisture check after the job; The built-in bed mite sensor on the UV-C vacuum. 72-hour bedroom CO₂ testing is an optional service, booked on its own or added to a mattress visit. It's priced by quote, and it isn't a medical test.

  • Clear language

We describe what the service does and doesn't do. No cures, no pest control, no sterilization or disinfection claims.

  • Honest pricing

$249 for the first mattress in any size, on one price list for every town we serve.

Sleep Sanitation at a glance

Who
Operated by Sleep Sanitation, a mattress-only company. Call or text (402) 512-5658.
Where
Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska, plus Elkhorn, Bennington, Valley, Waterloo, Gretna, Papillion, Ashland.
Equipment
Three Italian Vapor Clean dry vapor steam machines (Magnum XP, ProV 350 and Pro6 Duo), with steam output and pass speed adjusted to each mattress.
Method
A material inspection comes first: we read the law tag and check construction, fabric and stains before choosing the steam setting and pass speed. Seams, tufts, ridges and edges are steamed with low-moisture dry vapor steam, along with the top surface and all four sides. A HEPA vacuum lifts loosened debris, followed by UV-C light treatment. Enzymes are used for urine and organic odor. Organic cleaning methods are the default.
Checks
Every visit includes two checks: a moisture check after the job and the built-in bed mite sensor on the UV-C vacuum. The bed stays unmade until it is dry to the touch, and we run a moisture check before we leave.
Optional
72-hour bedroom CO₂ testing is an optional service, booked on its own or added to a mattress visit. It's priced by quote, and it isn't a medical test.
Records
Every job is documented on an inspection form: the mattress materials, special care notes and any urine or odor observations.
Hygiene
Technicians wear gloves and shoe booties, and equipment is disinfected between jobs.
Price
$249 for the first mattress in any size. A surcharge applies only to severe or biohazard cases. Each additional full, queen or king mattress in the same visit is $199, each additional kids bed (twin or full) is $149, and underside or full-surface treatment is +$50–$75 per mattress. Current offers are on the pricing page.
