Why not just use a carpet cleaner on a mattress?
Carpet extraction sprays hot water in and vacuums part of it back out. A mattress is thick and slow to dry, wet extraction or hot-water carpet cleaning can void mattress warranties, and several makers' care pages warn against soaking. Check your own label first.
Why do you call it sanitation instead of cleaning?
Because it's a set protocol for the whole sleep surface, not only stain removal. We don't use the word to mean disinfection or a measured germ reduction; the table on this page sets out the difference.

Is a household steam cleaner the same as dry vapor steam?
No. Many household steamers put out wetter steam, and it's easy to over-wet foam. Our machines are dry vapor units, and we check moisture before we leave.
Are you just a carpet cleaner who also does mattresses?
No. Sleep Sanitation cleans mattresses and nothing else.
