Short answer
Antiperspirant residue combines with sweat and body oils into yellow or white marks where your arms and shoulders rest. Vacuum, spot clean lightly and wash the protector. Our enzyme treatment targets the sweat and body-oil side. Stains are included.

HEPA vacuuming, enzyme treatment for organic odor, dry vapor steam and UV-C. We recommend cleaning twice a year.
These marks build up where your arms and shoulders rest. They mix product residue with sweat (sweat stains and yellowing).
What to do right away
- Vacuum the area.
- Spot clean with a little mild detergent on a damp cloth.
- Wash the protector regularly (how to wash a protector).
- Keep it light. Work with a barely damp cloth; never pour liquid on a mattress.
What not to do
Don't scrub hard or soak the area. For the general rules, see DIY mattress cleaning mistakes and the stain chemistry hub.
