Short answer
In a group home, the best visit is a predictable one. We book around the house routine, usually while residents are at day programs or work, and allow 1–2 hours per mattress. Staff handle any resident transitions; we don't move people. Tell us at booking about oxygen in use, breathing sensitivities or an enzyme allergy, and anything that helps residents know what to expect.

Key terms used on this page
- Grouped scheduling:
- An agency sending several clients in the same area so visits run on an efficient route. Qualifies for our agency rate.
- Per-room record:
- Filing each mattress's Service Summary under its room number, so every room has a dated history of mattress upkeep.
Group homes
A predictable visit
- Booked around the house routine
- Every bed in one visit when possible
- Staff handle resident transitions
- Oxygen, breathing sensitivities and enzyme allergy asked at booking
- A Service Summary for every mattress
Group homes run on routine. A mattress visit works best when it fits that routine and residents know what to expect.
Scheduling
- Pick the quiet window. Many houses book while residents are at day programs, school or work.
- One house, one visit. We do every bed in the house in a single visit when we can. Allow 1–2 hours per mattress.
- Recurring houses. Providers with several houses can group them on a route at reduced partner rates.
What staff handle
- Resident transitions. We don't move people.
- Letting residents know a visitor is coming, if that helps.
- Stripping the bed, or letting our technician do it. We remove the protector and leave a one-time supply of special detergent sheets for washing it.
What we ask at booking
- How many beds, and the sizes
- Is oxygen in use?
- Any breathing sensitivities?
- Any enzyme allergy?
- Anything about the house routine we should plan around
What staff get
A Service Summary for every mattress, to file by room. For quick visits that respect the people who live there, see also scheduling a visit around a bedbound person.
Sleep Sanitation's view
This section is our view. Agencies that group visits by area are route-efficiency partners and get reduced agency rates: request agency rates. We carry a certificate of insurance, available on request, and run background checks under our hiring policy, including a national sex offender registry check. Sleep Sanitation serves Omaha, Lincoln and surrounding towns. Every visit includes dry vapor steam with the mattress surface verified at 212°F or higher with a temperature gun, HEPA vacuuming, UV-C light treatment and a moisture check before we leave. Allow 1–2 hours per mattress. Our technician removes the mattress protector during the visit and leaves a one-time supply of special detergent sheets for washing it. Enzyme treatment is used on urine. Every visit ends with a Service Summary, and a copy can go to the agency with the client's or family's permission. The first mattress is $199 Fall 2026 special (regularly $249); additional mattresses in the same visit are $199 for a king or California king, $179 for a full or queen and $149 for a twin or kids bed. Severe soiling carries a surcharge, disclosed before any work starts. Call or text (402) 512-5658, or email info@sleepsanitation.com.
