What sets these mattresses apart
Stearns & Foster builds luxury innerspring and hybrid mattresses with plush comfort layers, dense quilting and finished borders. Many models come in firm, medium and plush versions, some with a pillow top. They're heavy, and they're often a significant purchase that owners want to last.
Where the work goes
Quilting. Deep quilting creates channels and dimples across the surface. Skin flakes and dust settle in each one, so we work the surface slowly with overlapping passes.
Borders and tape edges. Tall, finished borders collect debris along the stitched tape edge at the top and bottom. Both edges get dedicated passes.
Pillow-top seams. On pillow-top models, the gusset where the top attaches is detailed separately.
Protecting a premium cover
Premium cover fabrics can water-spot if they're over-wet. Keeping moisture low, and never saturating one area, protects the look of the fabric as well as the comfort layers underneath. For spills and accidents, choose the urine or blood add-on so the stain gets targeted treatment instead of more water.
Making it last
Rotate the mattress as the manufacturer recommends, use a breathable protector, and plan a sanitation visit about twice a year for a primary bed. Browse other brands we clean or read about how often to clean a mattress.
