Serta iComfort Mattress Cleaning & Sanitation

Serta iComfort beds are built around memory foam, and Serta is clear that foam and liquid don't mix. Its own help article recommends dry methods first. Our visit starts dry and stays as dry as possible.

Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm. Missed a call? We return calls and texts on Saturday and Sunday too.

What Serta says about care

Serta's help article on cleaning a mattress recommends treating a soiled area with baking soda and a vacuum, and says, "We do not recommend applying liquids to the product." Serta explains why: "Moisture or chemicals applied directly to the mattress can cause premature breakdown of the foam and damage the product."

That's why our Serta visits lead with thorough HEPA vacuuming and keep any steam to quick, low-moisture passes.

Our Serta iComfort compatibility guide has the full quotes.

How we clean it

  1. HEPA vacuum with the cover on. Top panel, borders and seams.
  2. Dry vapor steam in low-moisture passes. Heat reaches the cover and the layer just below it without soaking what's underneath.
  3. Spot treatment where you need it. Enzyme product applied sparingly and blotted, never poured.
  4. HEPA vacuum again. A second pass lifts what the heat loosened.
