What Casper says about care
- Spot clean, lightly. Casper's mattress care guide suggests "spot-cleaning affected areas with water and mild detergent."
- Don't saturate the foam. The same guide says, "Be careful not to saturate the mattress with too much water and/or detergent, as the foam in the mattress core will soak up water and detergent."
- Leave the cover on. Casper's guide also says not to remove the cover for cleaning.
Our Casper compatibility guide has the full quotes.
How we clean it
- HEPA vacuum with the cover on. Top panel, borders and seams.
- Dry vapor steam in low-moisture passes. Heat reaches the cover and the layer just below it without soaking what's underneath.
- Spot treatment where you need it. Enzyme product applied sparingly and blotted, never poured.
- HEPA vacuum again. A second pass lifts what the heat loosened.
